WELCOME
to the official
home page of the G.M. Fra Antoine De Paule Philharmonic Society.
This
Society was established in A.D. 1898 in the town of Paola, Malta.
Since then it has evolved to become one of the best on the island. It
now holds an annual concert in autumn as well as a number of home
concerts to celebrate special occasions such as Good Friday, Mother's Day and
Christmas. Worth mentioning is its participation in the Good
Friday and Easter processions and in some typical Maltese village feasts
especially that of Christ the King celebrated annually in Paola.
The
Band of the Society also had the honour of being invited to perform in a
number of countries, including Austria, Hungary, Canada, the USA and
France.
The
main aim of this website is to provide information about the history and
the main activities organised by the Society. The website also gives
some information about the village of Paola and its founder, the Grand
Master of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta Fra
Antoine De Paule.
We
would like now to invite our esteemed readers to enter this website. We
hope that you will find the information interesting. We
take this opportunity to encourage anyone interested in attending any function organised by the Society to contact
us. Finally,
being a voluntary Society, we appreciate the help that anyone is ready
to offer.

Note: Website is being
updated regularly. Any information, including photos are
appreciated. Please contact
us.
